April 26, 2006 – Rory Clark is elected to the Board of Directors of the George C. Marshall International Center, the 501(c) (3) charity that owns and operates Marshall’s home, Dodona Manor, one of Loudoun County’s most beautiful and significant historic properties.  Clark will lead the Center’s efforts to secure substantial Virginia Rehabilitation Tax Credits to benefit the center for the pains-taking restoration that is being conducted at this historic property.

April 1, 2006 – After several years representing a sophisticated and national specialty finance company as in-house counsel, Mike Hutchinson re-enters private practice and joins the firm’s business law team.

December 2005 – Led by Rory Clark, the firm successfully completes the first open-space conservation easement in Virginia history to be placed across property owned by a 501(c) (3) charity that is open to the public and subject to a variety of substantial and regular uses.  Also by the end of this month, Clark the firm’s affiliate, Virginia Legacy Tax Credit Exchange, L.L.C. closes the sale and transfer of more than ten million dollars ($10,000,000.00) in Virginia Open Space Tax Credits.

October 21, 2005 – Partner Rory Clark is appointed to a five-year term on the Loudoun County Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) by the judges of the Loudoun County Circuit Court.
