Michael Abejuela is an associate attorney with Clark & Allen, P.C. Michael is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. His practice is focused primarily on the field of intellectual property. Michael has prepared and negotiated international, multi-million dollar, domain name lease-purchase agreements, software licensing agreements, and assignments of patent, trademark and copyright property rights. He has counseled start-up companies and creative individuals on their IP concerns and has assisted numerous clients with the protection of their patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

He has also advised domestic and international clients on issues such as domain name disputes, online marketing/SPAM, defamation, IP infringement and litigation. In addition to his experience with IP, Michael has dealt with cases involving complex commercial litigation on the federal and state level, business torts, corporations, risk assessment/avoidance, and non-profit organizations. He is experienced in handling issues such as breach of contract disputes, business orts, unfair competition, corporate governance, and the establishment of corporate policies and procedures. Michael is also experienced in advising business owners and other individuals in estate planning to protect their assets.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the University of Richmond Journal of Law & Technology, the world's first exclusively online law review. Michael is also a graduate of Marymount University where he received a bachelor of science degree in Biology. He has lectured on the topic of Internet, E-Commerce and IP law and has moderated a panel discussion on the legal aspects of information security in light of emerging technology that explored legal issues regarding hacking, spyware, spam and adware.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling, tennis, skiing and various other outdoor activities.
